In order to bridge research and patient care, the PETRA network has an “all inclusive” and multiscale offer for academic and private teams, developed through two platforms.
The platforms
PETRATECH is a technical platform labeled "Plateforme Aix-Marseille" with a range of cutting-edge preclinical models and divided into 3 complementary components:
- PETRATECHvitro dedicated to the production of preclinical in vitro 3D models of brain tumors derived from samples of surgical excision of patients (Departments of Neurosurgery, APHM).
- PETRATECHvivo specialized in the development and use of preclinical in vivo models of brain tumors (mouse and rat).
- PETRATECHradio equipped with SARRP® for precision irradiation for small animals enabling targeted irradiation of tumors with preservation of healthy tissue, under experimental conditions close to the clinic.
PETRANSLA is a translational research platform that facilitates access to the annotated biological resources of the APHM tumor bank (Biological Resource Center, APHM) and supports teams in their transition to clinical research (Early phase clinial trial center CLIP2, APHM), thus promoting the basic-clinical research continuum.
